Stapleton is an interim member of the Legislative Council, an interim advisor to the New Mexico Finance Authority Oversight Committee, an interim advisor to the Investments Oversights Committee, and interim advisor to the Legislative Education Study Committee, an interim advisor to the Courts, Corrections and Justice Committee, a member of the Education Committee, a member of the Lavor and Human Resources Committee, a member of the Printing and Supplies Committee and a member of the Rules and Order of Business Committee.
