New Mexico State House Representative Nick L. Salazar represents District 40 which includes parts of Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe and Taos counties.

He attended the University of California in Santa Barbara.

Salazar’s professional experience includes working as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force and as a County Commissioner for 1964 to 1968.

He serves as a member on the Energy and Natural Resources committee, the Appropriations and Finance committee and the Rules and Order of Business committee.


Representative Salazar is married and has three children Yvonne, Earl and Gregory.
