Current Office:State Senator
In January of 2005, Steven began serving his first term in the New Mexico State Senate. During the Legislative Session, the Senator serves on the Senate Finance Committee. Interim Committees he serves on include: Retirement Systems Solvency Task Force, Water and Natural Resources Committee, Regulatory Reform Subcommittee, Investments Oversight Committee, Legislative Ethics Committee, Revenue Stabilization and Tax Policy Committee and Legislative Finance Committee.
Special interests and community involvement of the Senator include: San Juan Board of Realtors Member, Aztec Chamber of Commerce, Appraisal Institute Board, Farmington Chamber of Commerce, Aztec City Commission, New Mexico Jaycees, San Juan Fair Board, NM Association of Counties, and San Juan County Commission.
Senator Steven Neville and his wife Tammy Neville reside in Farmington, New Mexico. Steven owns and runs a Real Estate Appraiser business in Aztec. He graduated from Moriarty High School. Steven studied Agriculture/Economics at New Mexico State University where he received a B.S. and M.S.
