John is a native New Mexican who can trace his Republican roots to his great, great grandfather who was a Republican State Legislator from San Miguel county.
John has operated his company continually for over 27 years. In 1998, John was elected to his first office as a councilman to the Village of Los Ranchos. In 2002, John ran for Governor.
He led the fight to protect children by helping pass the ban on possession of child pornography.
John and his wife Debra, reside in Albuquerque and have two grown daughters.
