ALBUQEURQUE (KRQE) — Despite some questions about how well it works Bernalillo County is going ahead with its
Summer Job Mentor Program this year.
The county will be hiring students between the ages of 14 and 18, who want to earn money and gain job experience.
County Commissioner Maggie Hart-Stebbins had requested the $100,000 program be put on hold for a year and restructured, but the commission voted to continue it.
The jobs pay $7.50 an hour.
