Wiener questioned over Martinez pic use

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Embattled Bernalillo County Commissioner Michael Wiener's use of Gov. Susana Martinez's picture in a recent campaign mailer is being called deceptive by her spokesman.

Scott Darnell says in a statement to the Albuquerque Journal that if the photo is being used to imply Martinez supports Wiener it would be "be highly dishonest and disappointing."

Wiener has rejected numerous calls for him to resign since a photo surfaced of him with several young women in a Philippine city known for its prostitution. The fully-clothed women posed with him on a street.

Wiener has denied any wrongdoing on the Philippines trip

He is seeking a second four-year term. The mailer shows him with several politicians.

Wiener told the Journal on Friday that he never said the politicians endorsed him.
