Sunland accepting mayor applications

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KRQE) — The scandal ridden town of Sunland Park is now accepting applications for mayor until Monday.

City council members originally picked Javier Perea to be the new mayor two weeks ago.

However, the state's attorney general ruled that did not count because the meeting was so crowded and some people could not get in.

So the city council's set to have another meeting on Monday and pick a mayor then.
