ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) — State republicans continue calling attention to what the party calls "national praise” for the speech given by Governor Susana Martinez four days ago at the Republican National Convention.
The governor took the stage Wednesday, just after former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, and just before vice-presidential nominee Paul Ryan. She shared her personal story and explained her switch from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party.
Sunday, on Fox News Sunday, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, who is also chair of the Democratic National Convention, shared his opinion.
“I said in the make up room that I thought Susana Martinez and Marco Rubio gave the two best speeches of the convention,” Villaraigosa said.
Still Villaraigosa had criticism for republicans especially in regards to immigration and healthcare policies.
