PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) — Republican Mitt Romney has chosen Pueblo for his first campaign visit to Colorado since accepting the Republican nomination for president.
Romney planned to make a campaign speech at Pueblo's Weisbrod Aircraft Museum on Sunday afternoon.
Romney was last in Colorado on Aug. 2, when he spoke to a crowd in Golden.
Democratic President Barack Obama has made frequent appearances here in the last month. Obama was also in Golden, visiting on Thursday. He also made stops in Boulder and Fort Collins in recent weeks.
Colorado is seeing intense campaigning in part because early voting starts next month. Mail-in ballots will be sent Oct. 15, with early voting starting Oct. 22.
